The Royal Wedding 29 April 2011

The Royal Wedding Fever has hit London in a big way. All the TV channel are showing programming about past royal weddings and speculating on what will happen on the day.

Watching the Royal Wedding

If you can’t get to a TV screen, the Royal Family has set up a Youtube channel where they are going to live stream the wedding. Great to see that they have embraced social media fully.

Travelling to London

Most the train stations will be open as about 1million people are expected to come into London to participate in the celebrations.

Royal Wedding Street Parties

This is a truly British Tradition where neighbours get together to celebrate the wedding and have a good time. Even David Cameron is holding a street party at 10 Downing Street too.

People are decorating their streets with bunting, flags and union jacks on every possible thing for their parties.

Waitey Katie and Wills have announced that they are getting married and today they announced that the wedding will be held at Westminster Abbey and will be held on 29 April 2011. The couple wanted to have the wedding on a Friday and in the spring and this is the only Friday that they could fit in.

For all the people in the UK, the Royal Wedding day has been declared a bank holiday, so we get a 4 day weekend.

More details will follow as details are revealed.
